So Microsoft attempts to continue its world domination with its multi billion dollar offer for Yahoo.Now I am not a great lover of Yahoo though this is probably more to do with being brought up on Google then any real dislike for the competition.
What I found amusing is how quickly Google started ranting on about the fairness of this deal if it went ahead.Google’s concern for the consumer was almost laughable when in reality like most businesses faced with competition the gloves come off when defending the profit margin.
Though to be fair I wonder if Yahoo ends up as part of Microsoft will this then limit consumer choice ,I would think that it would take a massive effort on the part of Microsoft to break the monopoly of Google.
Any way just as a note I decided some time ago to make a stand against the Microsoft juggernaut by switching to open-office a free alternative to Microsoft Offfice take a look here www.openoffice.org .
